Burberry is not only famous for its amazing trench coats and iconic fashion designs, but for their simple and elegant campaigns as well. In this article, the focus will be on the best of the best, from special winter campaigns to dreamy pastel and lace inspired Burberry advertisements. Which one is your favourite?
The 2014 Spring/Summer collection was iconic for Burberry: with the pastel shades, heavy embellishments and bold fabric choices, the outfits of the models quickly became favourites for fashion bloggers and celebrities all around the world. The campaign has represented this daring and youthful collection perfectly as well with the pastel purple, pink and blue and rose background. Because the gorgeous models were rocking the gem-stoned coats and skirts, their hair and makeup was kept very simple in order to keep to focus on the garments.
Featuring celebrities, the most popular models and Romeo Beckham, this bright Burberry campaign was one of the favourites in 2013. To complement and show off the bright colors and metallic fabrics, the background featured rich red, purple, green and blue shades, and everything else was very minimalist to bring out the uniqueness of the clothing items. Besides the whole setting and simplicity of the campaign, we have to mention the stunning designs of this collection, which ranged from elegant, white cape-style blazers to edgy bomber jackets and the iconic trench coat with a luxuruious twist.
Unlike the colourful and bright Spring/Summer Campaigns, the AW12 campaign was in vintage-inspired black and white shades, which not only made us remember the long history of trench coats, but also made the whole campaign more dramatic. Every little detail from the location with the train station to the minimalist styling works perfectly with the vision and feeling of this campaign. Although the love story that the pictures tell is beautiful, our favourite image has to be the one with the little children wearing small Burberry trench coats!
Burberry’s Christmas Specials are always one of the most beautifully designed Christmas campaigns int he fashion world, but the one in 2013 was truly outstanding. It captured that dreamy Christmas feeling perfectly with winter lights, snowflakes, big present boxes and beige tones, and let’s face it – we all wanted to buy something from Burberry after seeing this ad.
Taking us back to the world of nature, the Burberry 2009 Spring/Summer campaign was all about neutral tones with youthful designs. Although the boho chic style of some clothing pieces might seem to be far away from the brand’s regular fashion vision and aesthetic, this collection was just as stunning and extraordinary, yet still wearable as usually. To fit the green, olive, beige, brown and black toned garments, the photo shoot was full of plants and vintage decoration, and must-have floppy hats, which made the vintage feeling even stronger.
